V.2.18
Goodbye.
Forever.
Sorry.
Eric's Crazy Musical Favorites
Radiohead
In Rainbows - 2007
This is such a good record... please support these guys, they deserve it! :)
Nine Black Alps
Everything Is - 2005
A kick booty album from the Manchester scene...
It's almost Oasis, almost Interpol, pretty unique!! :)
It's Immaterial
LIFE'S HARD AND THEN YOU DIE - 1986
A totally beautiful and awesome album. I bought it on CD when I was working at the record store in 1987.
This is one of my few albums I would even let my Mom listen to. :)

Big Country
THE CROSSING - 1983
A very very very under-rated record. The hit song (In a Big Country) that they released in my opinion is the worst one on the entire album! This is very prototypical Irish progressive rock music. I bought this on vinyl from CBS mail order or something.

Strange Factoid: the Drummer, Mark Brezeski (SP) also drummed on another incredibly awesome 80's album: The Cult - Love
(This drummer is awesome!!)
XTC
Drums & Wires - 1979

Killer, just killer. Making Plans for Nigel!
XTC
Black Sea - 1980

A perfect album from XTC. Everything else by them except for those listed here are fairly mediocre to me... Ahhh, well. :)

Sgt. Rock!!!
999
CONCRETE - 1981

999
BIGGEST PRIZE IN SPORT - 1980

I never did own this album... Wierd, eh?

Well, all I remember is that I first heard this 999 record in Michele's room when I was going through her record collection.... and that I loved it! :)
Killing Joke
(self titled) - 1980

A serious must-have. Includes the original of the song "The Wait" that Metallica covered on their garage days EP.... These three Killing Joke records were out of print domestically for a few years there.... thankfully they are available now! :)
Killing Joke
What's this for? - July 1981

This one is the wierdest of the three in terms of time signatures, songwriting, etc. It's my fave for that reason.

Fave song: "Unspeakable"
Killing Joke
Revelations - June 1982

These Killing Joke albums aren't exactly Punk, they aren't exactly New Wave either.... Or Goth either... Listen to them! :)

Fave song: "Empire Song"
Public Image Limited
First Issue - 1979

I love this album... love it.

John Lydon, AKA Johnny Rotten at his best! :)
Public Image Limited
Second Edition - 1980

Originally released as "Metal Box" as a set of 3 45rpm 12" records, in a metal film cannister.
Metal Box was re-released in the mid 90's on CD in a special CD-sized Metal cannister, I have one!
The mix on Metal Box is alot bassier and 'dubbier' than on Second Edition.
Thank you, Keith Levene... You rock!! :)
Interpol
Turn on the Bright Lights - 2002

No question, One of the best albums of recent history. Every song is brilliant.

Go get it now!
Agent Orange
Living in Darkness - 1981

California Surf Punk

Jan & Dean meet Hardcore Punk? Classic skater music!
Agent Orange
When You Least Expect It... - 1984

6 song EP
Chameleons UK
Script of the Bridge - August 1983

Time stops just for a moment,
Then again it's only an instant

Fave song: "Paper Tigers"

Band History
Chameleons UK
What Does Anything Mean? Basically - October 1985

Fave song: "On the Beach"
Chameleons UK
Strange Times - September 1986

The original pressing of the Geffen LP had an extra record with more songs, including an alternative of "Tears". Thankfully this extra stuff was included on the CD.

Fave song: "Caution"
This song taught me 4/6 and 6/6 alternating! Alot of really groovy and good drumming in this one...
The Sun and the Moon
(self titled) - July 1988

Mark Burgess' band after the break up of the Chameleons. Very similar to the Chameleons, yet different. Still extremely melancholy.
Send me Suggestions! (or CDR's!)
